Music Legend Charles Wright OTRC In The News Receives Award

With the release of Wright’s 1st biographical book “Up From Where We’ve Come” (the true story of racial and economic discourse his family endured as sharecroppers, which led to the term “Share Crop Mentality” as well as his new CD, “Something To Make You Feel Good” it is no doubt Mr. Wright has an important message to express.

Music legend Charles Wright of the most sampled song “Express Yourself” has also released a social conscious video with his classic song “Comment” as a social video platform to express his concerns with the societal dysfunctions plaguing communities world-wide. “Comment,” back in 1968, discussed the state of racial affairs in America. Sampled by at least ten other artists; including Ray Charles, Les MCcann, Amanda Ambrose, Wilco and others, “Comment’s” lyrics are even more relevant today than they were back in the day.

Wright has been busy spreading his message OTRC being interviewed by some of the most media influencers of today. In addition, Wright spoke to crowds of thousands at the Leimert Park Book Fair and IT HAS PAID OFF! Charles Wright received an award for the legend he was and is at the Nu Skool Old School Legends Awards. Wright has been featured on TMZ, Black Hollywood Live – Breaking Into, Eurweb, 94.7 the Wave, and numerous other media powerhouses.
