“The Emoji Movie,” a project by Sony Pictures Animation, tells the story of Gene (T.J. Miller), an emoji with many facial expressions who is considered an outcast because he can’t stick to his supposed Meh emoji, like his father. Gene travels through the various applications found within the mobile phone, along with his friends Hi-5 (James Corden) and Jailbreak (Ilana Glazer). Throughout their adventure, they encounter other emojis and face obstacles.
